Introduction:
After graduating from Newcastle University with a degree in Biomedical Science, Elyse realised her strengths lay not in lab work but in the analytical thinking and problem‑solving at the heart of the subject. Those skills translated naturally into a career in finance, leading her to Deloitte before moving into audit at Saffery, where she worked with clients across a broad range of sectors and qualified as an ACCA Chartered Accountant in 2023.
Her interest in entrepreneur‑led businesses grew throughout her audit career. She was motivated by the opportunity to work closely with entrepreneurs at a pivotal moment in their journey, helping them secure the best strategic fit and value for the businesses they’ve built. She brings an approachable, analytical, and relationship‑driven style to her work, with a focus on building trust and understanding the detail behind their story.
Outside of work, Elyse enjoys travelling, exploring new cultures, and seeking out great food wherever she goes.
