Convex advises DFP Services on sale to Vadella Group.
Convex advised DFP Services, a multi-disciplinary building services and compliance specialist with fire safety at its core alongside security and electrical services, on its sale to testing, inspection and compliance group Vadella, backed by private equity firm Blixt.

Established in 1993 and based in Durham, UK, DFP Services provides fire, security and electrical safety services to public and private sector clients across the UK. With a 24/7 helpdesk and emergency response capability, DFP supports housing associations, NHS trusts, care providers and local authorities through a team of 76 time-served personnel and 45 specialist engineers covering the installation, service and maintenance of compliance systems. The business has grown both organically and by acquisition, adding Cortech (fire and security systems), Incom Systems (communications) and Fred Stoddart (mechanical, plumbing and drainage) between 2022 and 2024.
Founded in 2024, Vadella is a UK-wide testing, inspection and compliance (TIC) group focused on commercial buildings and infrastructure. It brings together specialist operating companies and more than 410 colleagues delivering compliance services across water, fire, air quality and HVAC, lightning protection, height safety, hazardous materials, electrical compliance, and health and safety consulting.
DFP Services joins TEAM Safety Services as part of the fire capability Vadella is building across the Group, giving Vadella national scale in active fire protection spanning risk assessment and training through to alarm and extinguisher design, installation, maintenance and monitoring. The DFP management team, led by Managing Director Jon Seed, will continue to lead the business.
